Who is Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride?

Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride is a medical doctor with postgraduate degrees in Neurology and Human Nutrition. Originally trained in Russia, she practiced as a neurologist for five years and a neurosurgeon for three before moving to the UK, where she earned her second degree in Human Nutrition.

She is best known for developing the GAPS™ (Gut and Psychology Syndrome) concept, which she introduced in her groundbreaking book, Gut and Psychology Syndrome – Natural Treatment for Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Depression, and Schizophrenia. Now in its second edition, this book has helped thousands of people worldwide implement the GAPS Nutritional Protocol to support their health and well-being.

Dr. Campbell-McBride has worked extensively with patients suffering from a wide range of chronic conditions, including autoimmune diseases such as celiac disease, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, rheumatoid arthritis, and multiple sclerosis. Her research into the connection between gut health and systemic inflammation has provided valuable insights into addressing these conditions through nutrition and lifestyle changes.

In addition to her work with neurological and autoimmune disorders, she has also supported patients with heart disease, high blood pressure, arrhythmia, stroke, and other complications of atherosclerosis. Her deep dive into the role of diet in cardiovascular health led to her book Put Your Heart in Your Mouth! – What Really Is Heart Disease and What We Can Do to Prevent and Even Reverse It.

As a highly sought-after keynote speaker, she presents at conferences and seminars worldwide, educating both health professionals and the public. She also provides training for practitioners and contributes regularly to various health publications.
